They say eyes are the windows to the soul. Eyes are such an important part of communicating emotions, and critical to having an expressive puppet.

In this tutorial, Character Animator’s Dave Werner explains four different approaches to rigging the eyes of a puppet. Dave walks us through; 

• Basic eyes
• Off-center eyes
• Eyes with large pupils
•  Eyelids
